The decision to withdraw treatment is explained to the NOK/ relatives.

Before discussing organ donation with the NOK, the consultant, bedside nurse/ nurse-in-charge and the SN-OD should meet to plan how the organ donation request should proceed.

The option of organ donation should be discussed in the presence of a SNOD when a decision to withdraw treatment has been discussed and accepted by the NOK/ relatives.
