Before discussing organ donation with the NOK, the consultant, bedside nurse/ nurse-in-charge and the SN-OD should meet to plan how the organ donation request should proceed.

The option of organ donation is to be discussed following the BSDT results and when the NOK/ relatives have demonstrated an acceptance of the outcome.
